Tree removal is the bulk of what we do, and it is the part where experience actually shows. We rig and lower the wood in sections instead of dropping it, which is how a tree comes down between a house and a fence without touching either. Our bucket truck reaches the crown, the chipper eats the brush on site, and the log loader hauls the trunk out. When we leave, the wood is gone and the yard is raked.

Emergency Tree Service
Storms in East Tennessee do not keep business hours. When a tree comes through a roof at two in the morning, or a limb drops across the only way out of your driveway, the job is not really tree work yet — it is damage control. We answer the phone, get there, and take the weight off the structure before anything shifts further. Then we clear the rest and haul it off in daylight.
We cut the tree off the roof in controlled pieces so the load comes off evenly instead of all at once. Getting this wrong turns a repairable roof into a rebuild.
If a tree has you shut in, that is the first cut we make. You should be able to get a car out and an ambulance in.
The widow-makers still up in the canopy after a storm. Those are what hurt somebody a day later, and they come down first.
Stump Grinding
A stump left behind is a trip hazard, a termite invitation and a spot you have to mow around forever. We grind below grade — not level with it — so the hole can be backfilled and seeded and you never know a tree was there. Big stumps, hollow rotted stumps and stumps in tight backyards where the grinder has to fit through a gate.
We take the stump down under ground level so topsoil and seed go right over it. Grinding it flush is not the same thing and it shows a year later.
Old growth stumps four feet across and hollow rotted centers that have to be chased out. These take a bigger machine and more time.
Hauled off, or left and raked back into the hole as mulch. Tell us which and that is what happens.
Tree Pruning
Most of the pruning we get called for is either clearance or damage prevention: limbs on the roof, limbs over the driveway, limbs headed for a power line. We cut at the branch collar so the wound seals, and we do not top trees — topping makes a tree grow back weaker and more dangerous than it was. Crown reduction, deadwooding and lifting the canopy off the house.
Limbs pulled back off roofs, gutters, siding and driveways. This is the cheapest tree work you will ever buy compared to the roof it saves.
Taking height and weight out of a heavy crown so the tree is less likely to fail in a storm, without butchering its shape.
Dead and hanging limbs removed before they come down on their own. On a big shade tree these are the ones that hurt somebody.
Land Clearing
Clearing a lot is a different job than taking down one tree. We work the whole piece: drop and process the timber, run the skid steer to push and pile, load the logs out, and rake the ground back to something you can build a driveway or a pad on. Building lots, pasture reclaim, fence lines and driveway cuts.

Brush Removal
Brush creeps. A fence line you could walk five years ago is now a wall of privet and honeysuckle, and it is hiding your mailbox and your property pins. We cut it back to where it belongs, chip what chips and haul out what does not. Roadside edges, banks, fence rows and the back corner nobody has touched in a decade.
Overgrowth cut back off the fence so you can see your line again and the fence stops rotting under vines.
Sight lines opened back up at the end of the driveway and along the road frontage.
The steep spots you cannot get a mower on, cut back by hand and by saw.
Hedge & Shrub Trimming
Hedges and foundation shrubs are the first thing anyone sees, and they are also the first thing to get away from you. We shape hedges and evergreen rows, pull them back off the siding and the walkway, and rake and haul the clippings instead of blowing them into your beds. If a shrub is too far gone we will say so rather than take your money twice.

Shrubs pulled back off the siding and the windows, where they hold moisture against the house.
